Three Lovely Presidents At GSUP

At GSUP, I talked with some presidents. Most of the contents were just general affairs. For instant,”Where is my seat?” or ”What is the beginning time?”and so on. But the following three were interesting exceptions.

One of the president asked me for the toilet.

And I lead him to the toilet,“go straight and then turn right”.

The president behind me said,“Please go slowly,young man.”

I was embarrassed for going too quickly. Because It seemed impoliteness.

I slowed down my pace and smiled,“It is China’ Pace.”

Then I couldn’t figure out his facial expression when the president heard my words.

Another President chatted with me.

He came to the reception early and had nothing to do.

“Are you from Tsinghua university?”

“Yeah.”

He pointed to my tie,“What a lovely tie!It is a Tsinghua tie or your tie?”

“Oh, it’s mine.”

If he had not been a western president but an Arabian , I should send the tie as a present according to his custom.

The third President talked to me.

“You are the volunteer from Tsinghua University,yes?”

“Yes.”

“What about your major?”

“My major is aerospace.” answered in a quiet tone.

“Aerospace?“Obviously,he was surprised,“I only know Beihang, does tsinghua has the major?Not Kidding?“He smiled

Then I told him that School of Aerospace in Tsinghua was set up in 2004 and developed quickly.

He was satisfied and said ,“Thank you.”
